Experienced Haul Unit Operators - Williams Lake, BC
Lake Excavating Ltd. is looking for Experienced Rigid-Framed & Articulating Haul Unit Operators to join our growing team and work on various projects in the Williams Lake, BC area. If you have experience in civil pipe installation, shallow and deep underground install, earthworks, mining, or road construction, we want to hear from you!

What we require:
- Be eligible to work in Canada and preference given to candidates who currently reside in the Williams Lake area.
- Pass mandatory pre-access drug screening and complete a quantitative respiratory fit test.
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and ability to provide a clean drivers abstract.
- Be able to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions and manage up to 50lbs.
- Possess a stable work record with experience in an industrial, civil, or mining environment.
- Demonstrate experience operating heavy equipment on various jobsites, with preference given to those who worked on civil pipe installation and on active mining.
- Operate heavy equipment safely, efficiently, and productively in challenging spaces, along side other heavy equipment and infrastructures.
- Operating Heavy Equipment for its intended use as required:
- Rigid Frame/Articulated Off-Highway Haul truck – forward/reverse in tight spaces, narrow, and winding roads, performing accurate placement of loose materials such as sand, gravel, and crushed rock.
- Willingness to step out of the cab and perform labour tasks if and when required including shoveling tracks, fueling, greasing, and cleaning equipment, operating powered equipment, loading, and unloading of miscellaneous supplies and equipment, and other duties as needed and able to manage up to 50lbs.
- Working DAY and NIGHT shifts outdoors in inclement weather conditions and with shifts regularly longer than 8 hours a day and working weekends.
- Adhere to the crew work schedule and to be prepared for changes and acceptance of the revised crew schedule due to weather delays, client requirements, production requirements, etc.
- Strict attention and compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures, WorkSafe Regulations, Mine Act along with equipment/vehicle cleanliness, maintenance and completing logs.
- Interact positively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training.
